No stories this week, we’re putting you to work!
In order to help you build on what you’ve learned about getting MORE out of your life, I have a quick exercise for you. Remember when we talked about valuing your values? That is one key piece of getting more.
But in order to start clearing the clutter to make room for more, I have a couple activities for you to try. All you need is a piece of paper and 5 minutes, and you’ll be ready to start doing more of what you love.
- Write down the things that fill your days and week. Capture everything you can think of: meetings, driving, tasks, chores, you-time… everything!
- Circle at least THREE things on that list make you happy, that you want more of. If there’s something missing from your list that makes you happy, add it and circle it! This is your chance to get the good stuff in.
- Cross off THREE things that you want to let go of in your life.
- What is ONE thing you can commit to this week, to help coach yourself to more? Maybe you figure out how to say no to one of the things in item 3, or create an exit strategy from an activity you’re ready to be done with.
The first step is the hardest! But, if you start to regularly evaluate your choices and activities based on whether or not they contribute to you getting MORE of what you want, then slowly you’ll start to fill your days (or nights!) with things you love.
