High-Performing Teams Are Built Intentionally. This Is How.
The Team Catalyst is a structured, deep-dive experience that gives your leadership team the clarity and direction to perform at their best, and sustain it.
Every Team Hits Friction. The Best Teams Talk Through It.
High-performing teams don’t happen by accident. They’re built through intentional practice. Even strong teams encounter moments where communication gets careful, decisions slow down, or tension starts to quietly build.
That’s not a sign that something is broken. It’s a signal that the team is ready for the next level of work.
The question isn’t whether your team has friction. Every team does. The question is whether you have a way to work through it, or whether it’s quietly accumulating beneath the surface.
Before assuming your team is operating at its full potential, ask:
- Are team members saying what they mean in the room, or after they leave it?
- When something feels off, does anyone say it out loud?
- Are disagreements getting resolved, or just postponed?
- When people nod along, does anyone ask if they really agree?
- Is there a conversation the team knows it needs to have, but hasn’t yet?
If any of those feel familiar, you’re not alone. Every team experiences this.
The Team Catalyst is designed to help teams build the habits that make it easier to talk through what matters, work through challenges, and keep moving forward together.

The Team Catalyst in Action
The Team Catalyst Is for Leaders Who Are Ready to Be Intentional.
The Catalyst isn’t reserved for teams in crisis. It’s for leadership teams that recognize high performance requires deliberate investment, and who are ready to do that work together.
It’s the right fit when:
- Your team is growing and needs stronger alignment to keep up
- A leadership change or restructure has shifted team dynamics
- Communication patterns that worked before aren’t working as well anymore
- You want to address small issues before they turn into bigger ones
- You’ve done team building before and are looking for something that actually sticks
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. That’s part of our process.
A Clear Process. Practical Outcomes. Lasting Results.
This is the DLCC Way — the same structured approach we bring to every engagement.
Discovery Call
A conversation to understand your team’s situation, clarify what success looks like, and confirm that Team Catalyst is the right fit.
Team Assessment
Every team member is interviewed one-on-one. It’s a confidential space to share their honest perspective on how the team is operating. We also administer the TCI Team Diagnostic, measuring your team across 14 performance indicators. This step surfaces the patterns that are rarely visible from the top.
Check-In With You
We compile what we gather, design a custom retreat agenda around it, and walk you through it before anything goes live. You’ll know exactly what we’re bringing into the room and why.
Team Retreat
A full-day (or multi-day) session for the team. This is where your team begins to turn insight into action.
Accountability Follow-Up Session
Four weeks later, we reconvene for 90 minutes to build on momentum, address new hurdles, and reinforce accountability to the commitments your team made.
Debrief and Integration Call
A final conversation with the team leader to reflect on what’s shifted and where to go next. We’ll look at what’s working, what still needs attention, and how to keep the momentum going.
The Team Catalyst
Includes:
- One-on-one interviews with all team members
- TCI Team Diagnostic assessment (14 performance indicators)
- Custom retreat agenda built around what we’ve gathered
- Full-day (or multi-day) team retreat — in-person or virtual (in-person is preferred)
- 90-minute accountability follow-up session (~4 weeks post-retreat)
- Game Plan & Strategy Report
- Debrief and integration call
Friction Doesn’t Stay Subtle. It Compounds.
Even small misalignments left unaddressed have a way of growing (and wreaking havoc on an organization). Here’s what we see when teams wait too long:
- High performers disengage quietly, without fully explaining why
- Leaders absorb more than their share of coordination and conflict
- Decisions slow down as trust erodes in small, incremental ways
- Strategic initiatives stall
The cost of one burned-out leader or one initiative that misses the mark exceeds this investment. Investing in your team now isn’t a luxury. It’s how high-performing organizations stay that way.
What Our Clients Are Saying
Frequently Asked Questions About
Is the retreat in-person or virtual?
It depends on how the team works together. We strongly recommend in-person if the team mostly works together. That said, virtual retreats are best for remote or distributed teams.
How long does the full process take?
From Discovery Call to final debrief, most Team Catalyst engagements run 8–12 weeks.
How many team members can participate?
The Team Catalyst is designed for intact leadership teams—typically 4 to 15 people. Contact us if your team is larger.
What happens after the Team Catalyst?
Many teams continue with ongoing team coaching to sustain and build on the progress made. We’ll discuss next steps during your final debrief.
How is this different from the Team Dynamics Snapshot?
The Team Dynamics Snapshot is a lighter-touch evaluation that includes self-completed surveys, a 90-minute session, and a performance playbook. It’s ideal for teams that want a simplified, structured starting point.
The Team Catalyst goes deeper. It includes facilitated individual interviews, a full-day retreat, and sustained accountability over time. If you’re not sure which is right for your team, the Discovery Call will help you decide.
High-Performing Teams Are Built on Purpose.
If you’re ready to invest in how your team works together, the Team Catalyst is where that work begins.
