Thoughtfully Fit #2: Pause. Think. Act.
I hope you are enjoying the process of increasing your self-awareness.
Part of your homework from your first session was to work on strengthening your Thoughtfully Fit® Core: Pause. Think. Act.
So when can you Pause. Think. Act? To simplify it, there are two main times:
- When things are going awry.
You know the feeling. You are doing a half-dozen things at once and you’re not sure what end is up. These are the moments where it feels like you couldn’t possibly pause for a moment, but these are exactly the moments when you should! - At the start of anything.
In the moment before a meeting, or making a phone call, or even at the start of the day… taking a moment to PAUSE–THINK–ACT can help you decide how you want to show up in that meeting or on that call.
If you haven’t already, take time to Pause. Think. Act. at least once this week and reflect on when did you pause, what questions did you ask yourself and what was the impact.
