Meet the Coaching and Consulting Team
Darcy Luoma, Founder and CEO
Darcy Luoma, master certified coach, dynamic facilitator, and engaging motivational speaker, has expertise in leadership, team development, emotional intelligence and personal effectiveness. Her optimistic attitude, warmth and intuitive style has helped hundreds of clients achieve remarkable results, including greater work/life balance, a clearer vision, and enhanced leadership. Darcy works with organizations to navigate change and successfully plan for the future by creating high-performing teams through systems coaching, designing and facilitating staff retreats, and executive coaching. Along with her favorite job being a mom of two daughters, she enjoys adventure travel, spicy chai lattes, competing in triathlons, and afternoon naps.
Darcy previously worked for a leadership consulting firm, did national advance for presidential campaigns, and served 12 years as the Director of U.S. Senator Herb Kohl’s office and is now a full-time leadership coach and organization development specialist. She is the Director and Lead Instructor for the Professional Life Coaching Certificate program at UW-Madison.
Sharon Barbour brings over ten years of coaching experience to her clients, as well as expertise in habit change, mindfulness, somatics and leadership development. She delights in facilitating shifts in perspectives and presence that lead to authentic leadership and fulfilling creations. Her warm and creative spirit, coupled with a fluid yet rigorous coaching style helps her clients to make breakthroughs and move past old roadblocks. A life-long learner and observer of human nature, she is inspired by human potential and inner wisdom. She is an instructor for the University of Wisconsin’s Professional Life Coaching Certificate program and a faculty member of Presence-Based Coaching & Leadership Development, based in Asheville, North Carolina. Prior to coaching, Sharon earned a Master’s degree in Public Health and worked with nonprofits and educational institutions, primarily in program development, evaluation and management. She loves family time, making music with friends, and being outside—kayaking, gardening and simply enjoying.
Mike Touhey is an executive coach who leverages over 20 years in executive level positions to partner with clients to help them achieve their personal leadership and organizational goals. Mike has “walked in the shoes” of senior leaders and understands the challenges they face on a daily basis. Mike works with organizations on leader acceleration (helping newly hired leaders to shorten their learning curve and accelerate their impact on business performance) and succession planning.
Nancy Turngren is a professional coach passionate about her mission of helping individuals and organizations flourish through the power of awareness and conscious choice. She believes our work and personal lives have become so driven by outside forces that it requires us to consciously pause and be mindful of our priorities. As a coach, she finds it rewarding to provide the space for individuals and organizations to work through this process and witness the growth that is achieved.
Brian Yaucher has been serving others through a career in nursing for 15 years, but as he was transitioning out of the field and into being a stay at home dad, he was looking for new and creative ways to help people and have a more flexible schedule. Enter coaching! He enjoys working with his clients’ to first meet them where they are, and then create a safe space to allow them to find a path forward. He strongly believes in coaching the person, not the issue, which builds skills they can use again and again. Although Brian misses the opportunity to support and care for his patients, he now focuses his passion for helping others on his coaching clients’ and his three kids. He loves having more time with his kids, and is often found coaching them from the sidelines – in sports AND life.
Ndidi is passionate about personal development, and was drawn to life coaching as a tool to bring out the best in others. She loves learning about her clients’ goals and supporting them by helping them identify small, doable steps to move in them in the right direction to fulfilling their dreams. Her coaching goals are to create self awareness and reflection which is key to learning, growth and fulfillment. In addition to being a certified professional life coach, Ndidi has a doctorate in pharmacy and a masters in business administration. Although she has worked in a different industries including health, wellness and social entrepreneurship, her passion is coaching. She is a wife and mother of three kids, and enjoys reading, photo journaling, and being outdoors.

Jill Mueller, Learning Experience Designer and Coaching Coordinator
Jill Mueller is the Learning Experience Designer and Coaching Coordinator at Darcy Luoma Coaching & Consulting. Previously, Jill worked as a Special Assistant to the President at UW System and as a trainer and assistant manager at Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation. She earned her Master’s in adult education at UW-Milwaukee and recently completed the Professional Life Coaching Certificate program at UW-Madison. Jill is passionate about combining education and coaching to help adults find joy and success in their work and their life.
Liza Waters, Writer
Liza Waters took a winding path to DLCC, where she is thrilled to turn her love of writing into a paying job. For years she spent more time on the back end, working in research administration, and nonprofit operations. She now enjoys bringing her love of problem solving to the DLCC team. Liza has been trained in various facilitation techniques, and spends a lot of time working to understand the different ways in which people learn, communicate, and process information. Liza has a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Policy from Duke University, and a Master’s of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics. When she’s not working, Liza loves hanging out with her two kids, walking and exploring, and spending time with her friends. As an enthusiastic traveler, you’ll often find her either planning or daydreaming about her next trip, the longer and farther the better.
